Plastic surgery is said to be used as a tool for disfigurement. Some people have a disease that causes them to see a distorted image of themselves at all times. They see and think one thing while the world sees something else entirely. They want to get rid of wrinkles for the most part. And of course we’ve seen multiple celebrity disasters. But others want to fix a nose they have a problem with, skin tones, etc. They put people through counseling in almost every case for this reason among others. The reality is that if you are extremely troubled about your appearance naturally, chances are surgery is not going to fix it, and obviously the risks are quite high. But the need to attain a sort of perfection is strong of course in all of us, especially in a society that expects more. Many people associate beauty with happiness, but it doesn’t work that way. If you really want to get rid of wrinkles in a way that looks more natural, there are plenty of good wrinkle creams, some of them better than others. But you definitely don’t take those risks, and moreover the change is gradual. So you have time to think about things, get your own help, and otherwise not risk personal disfiguration.
